Can't Get Directory Content
« on: September 18, 2010, 03:02:46 PM »
When I try to logon to my FTP server (Filezilla server) I get a message saying "Getting directory content..." and it never comes back from this message. I am using a Droid X with Andropd 2.1.  When the connection finally times out after a few minutes then I can try again but not until then as it is locked to any commands.  I am using FTP with the default settings (Passive, binary, port 21) and I can access my FTP server with no issues from a Filezilla client on another windows 7 laptop.

Do you see any conversation in your Filezilla server log window? Someone asked me a similar question the other day, and it turned out to be a firewall issue with Windows 7, so check your firewall settings first.

I have a similar issue, but there is no firewall in between. Can't list because prot p is required and maybe there is no support for that in FtpCafe?

The original post was about the classic FTP. Prot P is indeed missing at the moment, but the good news is it's coming out in the upgrade later today, that is FTPS prot P, encrypted data channel.

What HTML code do I use to allow clients to upload a file to my FTP server? I know the address, user name, and password for the FTP server. I also found code for allowing users to select a file for uploading to a "http website", but not a FTP server.
